DJ Sheep was born in Australia. At the age of 13 he became engrossed in hip-hop culture and was instantly captivated by the scratching he heard in the choruses of hip-hop songs at the time. He purchased his first record and went "looking for the perfect beat," learning about hip-hop, old school rap, electro, disco, jazz, funk, and soul music. His record collection consists of over 15,000 pieces and he is acknowledged worldwide as one of the most dedicated diggers in the game.

We turn 15 this year, having ereleased the Evidence CD in 1994 - and have something special planned for later this year. Watch our space.

We've got a few new releases up on iTunes, including the Pure Bunk back catalogue, the Sphere back catalogue, a new release from Inertia (now known as Projekt Inertia), Victor Xray, Alieonix, Squelch, Low Key Operations, and more. We've got more planned shortly including Blood Party, The Isle, etc. Fun to be had.

We've created a Picasa Web album featuring all sorts of pix and paraphernalia from 15 years of Brisbane Electronic action. If you have related imagery, we'd love to receive and add it to the collection. Check out http://picasaweb.google.com/trans.com.au and get in touch.

For all this, head over to our home page at http://www.trans.com.au and you should also join our Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/trans_com) so you're up to date.

Lots of love

Following on from a pair of collaborative one-off gigs featuring James Holden (Border Community/UK) & Omid 16B (SexOnWax/UK) 12 months apart, Brisbane promoter David Appleseed aka. DJ Shards felt something was missing in Brisbane's Techno Community & hit upon a formula for an event to bring together the established DJs who promoted their own; local Producers & Live performers who had been neglected in line-ups in recent years; and new Tech, Electro & Minimal practitioners that were not getting a look in at all.
